Trash Talk: December Empties 2019

As a beauty blogger and brand ambassador, I receive a ton of gratis. What better way to share my love of beauty than to give you guys and gals a run down of what I’ve blown through monthly. Now while each month of empties will vary, with some being heavier than others, I will always give my honest opinion of what I liked, what worked and what I would definitely rebuy, regardless of whether I paid for the product myself or it was gifted. So with all the introductions out of the way, let’s get into December empties.

Sephora Collection Watermelon Cleansing Wipes smell so good and with a price point of $8 it’s a pretty good deal. I purchased these on sale and racked up. Though I’ve found less expensive wipes that offer more bang for your buck, (think $3.99 for 50), these definitely did the job. They’re pretty thick and remove the bulk of my makeup with stripping my skin. They come in a variety of scents and I just finished up they’re coconut wipes which also smell like a dream.

Farmacy Honey Butter Beeswax Lip Balm was love at first swipe. LOVE! Moving from New York, winter can really wreak havoc on your pout. This formula kept my pucker soft, hydrated and I never got that icky white cast. The $10 price point can seem a bit high for a lip balm, but it’s a pretty dope lip product that’s worth the splurge.

Sol De Janeiro Coco Cabana Body Cream makes me feel like I’m on a tropical vacation. The scent is intoxicating and exotic and transports you to a beach vacation in the Caribbean or South America. You receive just enough shimmer without feeling sticky or greasy and your skin is left with a soft glow. Love that this beauty comes in a travel size and I’m never without her or the original formula, Brazilian Bum Bum Cream.

Murad 3-in-1 Multimist made it to a What’s On My Vanity Post a couple of months ago. I love the mister on this product. It sprays without drowning you and can be used as a traditional toner/mist, primer and setting spray. This mist from Murad balances skin, while providing an abundance of hydration. I was quite smitten with her and I would definitely rebuy.

Boscia Makeup-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil was quite nice. It removed majority of my makeup with ease, including mascara and didn’t leave a tacky feeling or residue when rinsed clean. Once you add a touch of water it emulsified and produced a light lather that I enjoyed. Bonus points for it coming in a travel size, because we all know I love to hop a flight.
Lancôme Eau Fraîche Douceur Micellar Cleansing Water was a luxe buy. There are a ton of micellar waters that get the job done for a fraction of the cost, but when I want to splurge, this is my go to. It leaves my skin feeling amazing and removes excess dirt and oil like a dream. If you’re looking for a treat yourself cleansing water, this is it.

Tata Harper Concentrated Brightening Essence is amazing and with a hefty price tag of $215 it damn well ought to be. While this product did last me for over half the year and kept my skin bright, hydrated and supple, it’s not something I could wrap my wallet around buying all the time. It does its job well but I’ve seen several products from my stash match or exceed it’s results.

This was my first trash talk of the year and there were definitely some heavy hitters. Stay tuned for January’s round of empties, and if you’d like me to try a particular product for reviewing, drop me a line.
